This course covers issues pertaining to hazard waste recognition at work sites. The Occupational and Health and Safety Administration has developed the HAZWOPER program to protect workers at hazardous sites & has devised extensive regulations to ensure their health and safety. This course program helps workers identify types of hazards and suggests protective measure(s) to reduce and/or eliminate hazards at the work place.
OSHA's 8 hour course meets the requirements in OHSA 29 CFR 1910.120 for 8hours of yearly refresher training for hazardous waste site workers. The class is designed for site workers who remove hazardous waste or who are exposed or potentially exposed to hazardous substances and/or health hazards. It covers Hazwoper regulations, hazardous chemicals, safety and health plans, safety hazards,site control, air monitoring, medical surveillance, personal protective equipment, decontamination and respiratory equipment.
Course Prerequisite: The 24 or 40 hr HAZWOPER course must be completed before taking the eight hour refresher course.

Our 40 Hr Course is designed for workers who are involved in clean up operations, emergency response operations, and storage, disposal, or treatment of hazardous or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. Subjects include protection against and elimination of hazardous chemicals, safety of workers and the environment per OSHA regulations - course covers topics included in 29 CFR 1910.120.
Students have six months to successfully complete the 40 hour, 24 hour and 8 hr hazwoper courses. This class is self paced, meaning you can take the entire course at one time or log in and out as often as you want and complete at your leisure.
Note: The 40 Hour Online HAZWOPPER training classmeets the requirements set by the OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910.120 (e)(3)(i) for the 40-hours of instruction off-site training requirements. An additional 3 days actual field experience under the direct supervision of a trained experienced supervisor may be required.
